Michael Peppy captured the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association boys cross country championship for the second consecutive year on Friday with a time of 16:33.58 at Bemus Point Golf Club. His performance helped Maple Grove win the team title as well.

Abby Gostomski toured the Bemus Point Golf Club course in 18:53.49 to win the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association girls cross country championship on Friday for the second consecutive year.

Karianne Yuchnitz set Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association records in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle at the CCAA Division 2 championships at Olean Middle School last Thursday. The junior posted times of 24.43 in the 50 free and 53.96 in the 100 free.

Sydney Hvizdzak had 16 kills and four digs as No. 8 Randolph beat No. 9 Clymer, 25-22, 25-14, 14-25, 25-20, in Section VI Class D prequarterfinal play last Monday. The Cardinals also beat No. 1 Lafayette, 25-6, 25-8, 25-20, in quarterfinal action Friday in Buffalo.
