Asquith Tour Wraps Up Season
KANE, Pa. — David Young was the medalist with a 75 and was third in the White A Flight of the Asquith Senior Tour on Monday as it concluded its season at Kane Country Club.
Brian Eckwahl was first in the White A Flight with a plus-4 followed by Dave Stewart with a zero and Young with a minus-2.
Fran Dexter fired a 87 and was first in the White B Flight while Dick Tyler was second with a plus-1 and Craig Underwood was third.
Jay Mengel carded a 77 in the Gold A Flight with a plus-7. Pat Hepinger was runnerup with a plus-5 and Ross Cali had a plus-1.
Joe McCourt had an 81 in the Gold B Flight, which was won by John Depew with a plus-9. McCourt was second with a plus-7 followed by Dennis Richards with a plus-7.
Jim Wirges recorded an 87 and was a plus-12 in the Gold C Flight. Charlie Stafford was second with a plus-4 while Jim Caronia and Russ Vacanti had plus-3s.
Tuck Underwood shot a 94 in the Gold D Flight, which was headed by Ed Potter with a plus-4 followed by Bill Saulsgiver with a plus-6 and Boyd Matteson with a plus-4.
Tom Szydlo was closest to the pin on No. 5, Norm Thomas on No. 8, Young on No. 14 and Roger Millspaw on No. 16.
