A nine-hit first inning carried the Falconer Firemen to an 8-2 victory over Southwestern Navy.

Nathan Abbey was the top hitter for the Firemen with a triple and a double. Ryan Stimson had two hits while Trent Wood and Tylar Olson each doubled.

Nate Johnson doubled and Ethan McNamara pitched six shutout innings in relief, allowing just one hit for Southwestern.


A-Bat was victorious in three games and finished the season with a 22-5 record.

Andy Kerr had two home runs and Bill Lawson had a home run and a single in a 15-8 win over the Latino’s.

Ryan Anderson, Nick Ahlstrom and Tyler Jones all had three hits with a double while Steve Trapani, Sean Chapman, Shaun Rizzo, Billy Torres and Wilson Sanchez contributed two hits apiece for A-Bat.

Then, A-Bat knocked off Mad Dogs via the 10-run rule with Jose Rodriguez, Manny Sanchez and Trapani having three hits. Anderson, Kerr and Ahlstrom had two hits with a home run each while Rizzo added a double.

A-Bat got its third win by defeating Bull Frog with Ahlstrom hitting safely three times with two home runs. Anderson and Lawson stroked two hits with a home run apiece while Trapani doubled twice. Kerr, Jones, Sanchez and Doug Trapani each had two hits.

Billy Tolbert tossed the three wins for A-Bat.
