Rivera Loses In Second Round At Soap Box Derby Championships

Alexandria Rivera lost in the Second Round of the Local Super Stock Division at the 80th annual All-American Soap Box Derby in Akron, Ohio on Saturday.

Rivera won her first three-car heat by .055 seconds over Olivia Biggs of Valparaiso, Indiana and Alexander Gutierrez of New Brunswick, New Jersey.

In the Second Round, Rivera lost by .009 seconds to Taylor Williams of Rochester.

Williams would wind up in fifth place overall while Brianna Roth of Liberty won the championship by .029 seconds over Zander Kokotajlo of Cincinnati. Zachary Miller of Culpeper, Virginia was third.

In the Local Stock Division, Jackson Gowan lost in the First Round to Monika Deckelman of Liberty by .132 seconds.

Cayson Hayes of Southeast Georgia won the championship by .019 seconds over Logan Sennholtz-Linder of the Greater Chicago area and Emilee Brand of Omaha, Nebraska.

In the Rally Stock Division, Damen Vincent lost in the First Round to Summer Sheets of Millersport, Ohio by .154 seconds. Brock Vincent also lost in the First Round to Dylan DenHaese of Port Byron by .132 seconds.

Aidyn Driggers of Tarrytown, Georgia won the Rally Stock Division by .014 seconds over Lane Schlafke of Glasgow, Kentucky. Jamison Geisler of Palm City, Florida was third.
