Chris Robson scored 30 points to go along with five steals, four rebounds, two assists and two blocks in Sherman’s 74-49 non-league victory over Silver Creek in the United Way Showcase at Jamestown’s McElrath Gymnasium on Saturday. Robson scored 20 points to go along with nine rebounds, six assists and a steal in the Wildcats’ 66-52 CCAA Division 2 West win over Panama on Friday.
Gabby Iuculano had 23 points, five steals, three rebounds, an assist and a blocked shot in Frewsburg’s 63-41 CCAA Division 2 West victory over Sherman on Thursday.
Fredonia’s Dalton Gardner was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler after winning the 113-pound crown at the Ripley Invitational on Saturday. Gardner beat East’s Jawon Carter, 7-5, in the title match. On his way through the bracket, Gardner pinned Falconer’s Steven Lamb in 1:26 and advanced via injury default in the semifinals.
Brennan Roehmholdt won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:04.15 as Jamestown lost a 50-47 ECIC Division 1 swim meet to Williamsville North on Friday. Roehmholdt was also a member of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay team that finished in 1:43.22.
Jordan Krystofiak floored a 228 game en route to a 652 series as Brocton beat Clymer/Sherman, 4-0, in CCAA Division 2 action Thursday. The Bulldogs finished with a 660-676-672-2,008. Krystofiak had a pair of 181 games en route to a 516 series as Brocton swept Randolph, 4-0, in Division 2 action Wednesday at Jamestown Bowling Company. Krystofiak’s score led the Bulldogs to a team line of 721-611-678-2,010.
Marissa Bonafede had a 211 game en route to a 544 series as Fredonia beat Southwestern, 3-1, in CCAA Division 1 action at Lucky Lanes on Wednesday. Bonafede’s day helped the Hillibillies to a linescore of 671-750-623-2,044. Bonafede had a 185 game in the Hillbillies’ 4-0 Division 1 sweep of Chautauqua Lake on Tuesday at Lucky Lanes. Bonafede’s high game helped Fredonia to a linescore of 622-619-697-1,938.
