Jamestown Girls, Fredonia Boys Win Bowling Matches

FREDONIA — Jamestown and Fredonia each won a match in season-opening Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association bowling Monday afternoon.

Jamestown took the girls match, 4-0, and the Fredonia boys had the same score in a sweep.

Taylor Smith hit a 190-179-535 and Justice Edens added a 177 game as the Jamestown girls  put together scores of 740-688-692-2,120.

Gillian Reed led Fredonia with a 164-188-492 and Marissa Bonadede added a 171 game when the Hillbillies shot 602-538-640-1,780.

In the boys match, Travis Langworthy drilled a 241-247-673 and Josh Ellman contributed a 216-219-219-654 as Fredonia delivered a 1,016-1,002-1,051-3,069 compared to Jamestown’s 895-983-866-2,744.

Trace MacKenzie recorded a 233-622 and Bryson Pacos had a 232 game for Fredonia.

Austin Aldrich delivered a 212-584 while William Ploetz had a 236 game and Hunter Giunta added a 210 game for Jamestown.
