IMPO Teens are OVER educated. Parents are UNDER educated. Everyone knows the rules of the game, some think they can cheat and it causes nothing but pain and suffering for others. A lot of teens, young adults and even parents make mistakes. Others will have to live with the results, punish the offenders with civil penalties other than jail. Manditory public service for life. Have a nice day.

Teens don't make good decisions about a lot of things. I think they need more education about what to do if they're out, get drunk and need to get the car back home. I think we parents have to be clear that we will come and get them. A lot of kids don't want to risk problems with the parents if they get caught. We parents need to accept the fact that kids do go drinking in spite of what they hear from us, in school or in church! The need to learn what to do.

No. Maybe from the ages of 16 to 21 there should be mandatory annual drivers exams that include graphic movies of accident scenes where teens have lost their limbs and lives. Most teens are simply not mature enough to understand the consequences of drunk and wreckless driving.

I believe that my 9th and 6th grader understand the issue. My problem is, WHERE ARE THE MENTORING PROGRAMS FOR ALL CHILDREN? There are plenty for poverty level children, but for those of us that have a good wage, there is a struggle to find proper people for them to learn from.

Unfortunately as we all understand that as teen-agers we knew infinitely more than our parents or any other adult over 20, it does not stop the drinking and driving. Until tradgey strikes, it will never happen to me is the word. Sad but true; nobody at that age thinks that harm of any kind is their future.

Depending on who the Parent is. Only parents that have taken the time to explain the conci qinces of drinking and driving, stand a chance of keeping their children responable.
