Florence L. Frank, 79, of 108 Laurel St., Lakewood, N.Y., formerly of Sugar Grove, Pa., and Panama, N.Y., passed away Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at WCA Hospital.
Florence was born in Sugar Grove, Pa., on Jan. 7, 1934, a daughter of the late Ellsworth A. and Beulah Loomis Dobson.
She was a 1952 graduate of Panama High School, and was formerly employed by Jamestown Mutual Insurance Company and the original JCPenney store in the Chautauqua Mall in Lakewood.

For many years, she was heavily involved with the local chapter of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, and often headed up their membership drives.
She was also active as a former Sunday school teacher, and member of the Friendship Circle at the Lakewood United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gatherings with family and friends.
She was the wife of Gail C. Frank, whom she married in Panama, N.Y., on Feb. 6, 1953.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children: a son, Terry G. Frank of Lakewood, N.Y.; and a daughter, Marcia M. Frank, of Olean, N.Y.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Martin of Sequim, Wash.
Friends will be received Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the McKinney Funeral Home in Sugar Grove, Pa., where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. A private burial will be held in Wesleyan Cemetery in Sugar Grove, Pa.
