Honoring Damon

October 21, 2013
The Post-Journal

BROCTON - Jamestown resident and Korean War veteran Peter Carlo donated an American flag to Brocton Central School in honor of the late Brocton junior and football player Damon Janes, who died last month following a football game. A small ceremony was held at the flagpole in front of the school, where the flag was raised in place of an older one. Carlo purchases and donates flags from United States Rep. Brian Higgins' office after they are flown over the White House in Washington, D.C. Students, faculty, school administration and family members were present for the ceremony.
