SHERMAN - The Theta Beta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met Oct. 3 at the home of Diane Brosius in Sherman. Co-hostesses for the evening meeting were Tracie Cederquist and Inta Damcott.
The program was given by Diane Brosius, titled "Superstitions." Superstitions are irrational beliefs, based on one's culture or fears. Members were quizzed about certain superstitions and their reactions to situations involving superstitions.
Nancy Palmer, president, presided at the business meeting. Committee reports were given. The Service Committee reported that there will be a fruit basket given to the members of the Mayville Senior Apartments for Halloween. Each member is asked to bring fruit to the next meeting on Oct. 24 at the home of Joyce Anderson in Mayville. Other service projects were also discussed. The sorority will fill novelty bags for the children at the Agnes Home and in the spring the adults will be given gift bags. The members' Christmas project will be giving gifts to the children in the CASA program.
The Social Committee reported on the full moon party on Oct. 19 at the home of Sandra Zenns for the members and their husbands and guests. Plans for the chapter's Revealing Dinner and Birthday in November were also discussed.
