All the scoring was done in the first half as the Jamestown Community College men's soccer team lifted its record to 8-5-3 overall and 3-2-2 in the region by edging Niagara County CC, 2-1, in NJCAA Region 3, Division III action on Saturday.
Jonathan Vargas scored the first goal from Maxwell Menyah at 19 minutes for NCCC, but JCC rebounded to tie the game,1-1, when Gage Bird tallied his sixth goal of the season from Jorge Duron at 24 minutes.
Kison Peters recorded the winning goal at 31 minutes on a pass from Nico Beringrud for his third goal of the season.

The Jayhawks held a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks and 26-6 on shots.
Tyler Dykstra got the win between the pipes and made two saves while Austin Matteson stopped eight shots in the loss.
Haley Sigular recorded her second shutout of the season and the third overall for the Jamestown Community College women's soccer team on Saturday in NJCAA Region 3, Division III action.
Sigular didn't have any saves as the Jayhawks blanked depleted Niagara County CC, 3-0, to raise their overall record to 6-5 and 3-3 in the region.
Sam Mann's 14th goal of the season from Kylie Wilson gave the Jayhawks a 1-0 edge at five minutes.
Jordan Ahlstrom made it 2-0 from Mann at nine minutes for her first goal and the final goal was Wilson's 10th, unassisted, at 18 minutes.
''Our defense was superb as we didn't allow a shot on goal,'' said winning coach Dana Shelters.
JCC had 20 shots on the NCCC net.
