Michael S. DiVincenzo, age 81, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Jamestown, N.Y., passed away on Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Keystone Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Kissimmee, Fla.
He was born in Jamestown, N.Y., on April 4, 1932, the son of the late Charles and Maria (Guttadauria) DiVincenzo. He was a 1949 graduate of Jamestown High School, a 1954 graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and then served two years in the U.S. Army.
He had been a practicing pharmacist in various area pharmacies. He was president and held various offices in the Falconer Jaycees and in the Chautauqua County Pharmaceutical Association. He was a longtime parishioner of Holy Apostles, Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Jamestown and a parishioner of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kissimmee.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Lodestro DiVincenzo, whom he married on Sept. 5, 1959; his son, Paul (Gina) DiVincenzo of Dallas, Texas; his daughter, Christine (Patrick) Benedict of Chicago, Ill.; his grandchildren: Michael Andrew DiVincenzo and Lucia Joy Benedict; and his sister, Jennie Jessey and niece, Cindy Zahn, both of Jamestown, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony DiVincenzo, and sisters: Lucy DiVincenzo and Mary Ann Parinella.
A memorial Mass will be offered on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. at The Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Kissimmee, Fla.
