FALCONER - In a battle of the top two teams in West Division girls soccer on Monday night under the lights, the Falconer Lady Golden Falconer (10-0-1) edged the Maple Grove Lady Red Dragons (9-2), 1-0.
Falconer remains undefeated at 10-0-1 and 9-0 in the division. Maple Grove falls to 9-2 in the division with both losses coming to the Lady Golden Falcons.
Amber Micek scored the only goal of the game at 32:03 of the first half on a cross from about 6 feet. It was assisted by Andrea Volk.

When asked about other scoring chances, Falconer coach Kersten Hardy said, ''We had a couple, we just didn't put them away.''
Maple Grove had quite a few, too, but was kept out of the net by goaltender Macey Mays, who had six saves in her shutout. That included stopping two free kicks, including a one-on-one stop with less than a minute to play.
Maple Grove goaltender Brianne Davis had seven saves.
