The Post-Journal

Cate Walter, 10, daughter of Dr. Peter and Carla Walter of Bemus Point, practices Mouret's Rondeau on the 1899 Felgemacher-Tellers Pipe Organ at Ss. Peter & Paul Church/Holy Apostles Parish in preparation for the upcoming "Pedals, Pipes, & Pizza" program planned for Sunday from 3-5:30 p.m., at Zion Covenant Church, 520 Fairmount Ave. Sponsored by the Chautauqua Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, the free program is open to all, especially young pianists and organists. Brian A. Bogey, minister of music at Zion Covenant Church, will demonstrate the Kimball Pipe Organ and lead a tour of the pipe chambers. Attendees will each have the opportunity to play the organ and learn more about how pipe organs are built and played. The afternoon festivities will conclude with a pizza and ice cream social.
