Frank A. Traniello, 77, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday (Sept. 26, 2013), in his home.
A lifelong area resident, he was born July 18, 1936, in Jamestown, the son of the late Albert J. and Vera Nichols Traniello.
Frank was a graduate of Southwestern High School, and in earlier years was employed by AMSCO and pri-or to retirement was employed by Dawson Metal. During his retirement he was employed by Artone.
He was a member of First Covenant Church and Ca-ble Hollow Country Club. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, golfing, snowmobiling, go-ing to the casino and dirt track racing.
Surviving are his wife Betty A. Bernhard Traniello, whom he married June 9, 1956, in Jamestown; his son, Scott (Julie) Traniello of Jamestown; five grandchildren: Stephanie (Sam) Parisi, Erin (Zach) Taylor, Gina Traniello, Jac-quie Traniello and Nichole Traniello; his daughter-in-law, Jackie Traniello of Falconer; two brothers: John (Donna) Traniello of Sinclairville, and David (Liane) Traniello of Claremont, Fla.; and a sister, Sandra Scott of James-town.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Todd M. Traniello on Sept, 20, 2011; daughter- in-law, Rosanne C. Traniello on Jan, 17, 2003; and a brother, Robert Traniello in 2003.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Falcon-er Funeral Home. The Rev. Timothy D. Phelps, chaplain of Hospice of Chau-tauqua County, will offici-ate. Burial will be in Sun-set Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
