Lakewood Memorial Library has announced the winner of the last afghan drawing.
Longtime Lakewood library patron, Lillian Pihl, was thrilled to win the last afghan, Aug. 29.
Having been a knitter herself, she appreciated the work that went into knitting the Aran Tweed afghan.
Diane Jordan, left, with Mary Miller, library director.

When she received notification that she had won, Pihl said that she couldn't believe it and the library is one of her favorite places.
Diane Jordan, a library volunteer for many years, has knit many afghans in various colors and patterns and donated all of them for the Lakewood Memorial Library's fundraising purposes.
It was fitting that she was the one who drew Pihl's name from the envelope for this final afghan.
