Racing fans are invited to Watts Flats United Methodist Church on Thursday to relive the glory days of legendary stock car driver Rod Maloy and his racing team.
The church will host a viewing of a documentary created by Randy Sweeney, with the assistance of Randy Anderson and Greg Peterson, highlighting Maloy's racing career as told by Maloy himself. Soup and sandwiches will be made available by members of the church at 6 p.m., the viewing will follow at 6:30 p.m.
Watts Flats was forever changed in 1976 as Maloy began working on his number 78 stock car. For 36 years, Maloy and his number 78 Racing Team competed at Stateline and Eriez Speedway. Until 2012, fans cheered for Maloy as he took the checkered flag.

Watts Flats United Methodist Church is located on Blockville and Watts Flats Road in Watts Flats. There is no cost to attend the viewing and copies of the video will be available for purchase.
Donations for dinner will be accepted by the church.
