Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down

September 14, 2013
The Post-Journal

Thumbs up to the sweet sounds of marching band music taking center stage at Strider Field today. The Jamestown High School Red Raider Marching Band will hold its annual Fall Festival of Bands at 6:30 p.m. today at Strider Field. Participating bands include Eisenhower, Bradford, Wellsville, Falconer, West Seneca, Lancaster, Jamestown, Medina, Orchard Park and Westminster College. Admission is $5 presale, $6 at the door. Typically, marching bands provide a soundtrack for high school football - but members of each of the area's high school bands are featured performers in their own right. Tonight's show is an opportunity for the public to see the next generation of musical talent take the field.
