Roy J. Pudder, 76, of 354 Vine St., Geneva, Ohio, died Aug. 31, 2013, at home.
He was born Oct. 17, 1936, in Madison, Ohio, the son of James R. and Ruby A. (Potter) Pudder. On Aug. 19, 1978, he married Wilma M. Graham, in Geneva, Ohio.
He served in the U.S. Army and Air Force for 21 years. He was in civil service and was employed on a military base in Anchorage, Alaska. He also did lawn maintenance for Normandy Village in Geneva, Ohio, had various industrial and service occupations and worked for Perry Power Plant in Perry Ohio.
He was a lifetime member of Geneva Veterans of Foreign War Post 6846 and the National Rifle Association
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children: James (Toni) Pudder and Salley (Mark) Howell, both of Warsaw, Mo,; stepchildren: Lisa Ann (Ron) Easton of Hampton, Va., Michelle (Tom) Warling of Coon Rapids, Minn., Gary (Connie) Eller of Caldwell, Texas, and James L. (Debbie) Eller of Geneva; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; sisters: Nancy (Valois) Burgos of Geneva, Karen (John) McCarson of Wilmington, Del., and Linda (Fred) Bishop of Ontario, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Derrick; and a brother, Lawrence R. Pudder
Family will greet friends Sunday, Oct. 13, from 2-4 p.m. at Geneva First United Methodist Church, 89 S. Broadway, Geneva, followed by a celebration of life service at 4 p.m., with the Rev. Bruce Hitchcock officiating.
