Minnie Frangione Vullo, 97, of the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Norton Avenue, died at 4:30 p.m., Monday (Aug. 26, 2013) in the nursing facility.
She was born in Big Soldier, Pa., on May 10, 1916, the daughter of James and Josephine Perry Frangione.
Minnie was employed at TRW as an inspector for 18 years, retiring in 1981. She was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church.
She is survived by a brother, Richard Frangione, Watertown, N.Y.; a great-nephew, Lenny Vullo, Santa Fe, N.M.; and four great-nieces: Fran (Mark) Gustafson, Wedding, N.C., Sally (Kevin) Burns, Jamestown, Chrissy (Charles) Smith, Ashville, and Angela (Stu) Vullo-Rosenblatt, Leesburg, Va.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Vullo, whom she married on April 29, 1961, in St. John Catholic Church, and who died on Jan. 4, 1989; by a brother, Frank Frangione; and by a sister, Pauline Parasiliti.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Visitation will not be observed.
