Robert P. Trippy, 43, of Daytona Beach, Fla., formerly of Fredonia, N.Y., died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, after a brief illness.
He was born Dec. 26, 1969, in Dunkirk, N.Y., the son of Paul F. (Karen) Trippy Sr. and the late Marcia Mitchell. He was the stepson of Larry Mitchell.
He attended Fredonia Central Schools and the BOCES Conservation Program.

He will be remembered as a talented drummer and enjoyed being able to jam with his friends. He was a particular fan of Ozzy Osbourne and a huge fan of guitarist Randy Rhoads.
He was a driver for the City Bus Company in Fort Myers, Fla., drove for the Daytona Florida Recycling Company and was a night security officer for the Daytona International Speedway. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a love for animals. He also enjoyed fishing.
Robert is predeceased by his mother, Marcia Mitchell.
He is survived by his father, Paul F. (Karen) Trippy, Sr. of Fredonia, N.Y., his stepfather, Larry Mitchell of Daytona Beach, Fla.; his children: Hayley and Shania Trippy of North Collins, N.Y.; his siblings: Jamison J. Trippy Sr. of Niagara Falls, N.Y., Shawna Mitchell (Jay Atwell) of Daytona Beach, Fla., Paul F. Trippy Jr. (Cheryl Tripp) and Jai (Rachel) Culver- Trippy of Dunkirk, N.Y. He is also survived by his paternal grandfather, Paul C. Trippy of Fredonia, N.Y. and Casa Grande, Ariz.; nephews: Triston Libby, Jamison J. Trippy Jr. and Paul F. Trippy III; nieces: Reese Trippy and Madison Trippy; as well as a great-nephew, Landon Trippy also survive.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Pioneer Cemetery, Forestville, N.Y.
Memorials in memory of Robert may be made to Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk, N.Y.
