At its July 18 meeting, the Rotary Club of Lakewood-Chautauqua South contributed $500 toward a new World War II Honor Roll Board, a joint project of the Lakewood American Legion and the Lakewood History Museum.
The two groups plan to install a replica of the board which stood for years at the top of the Lakewood Beach hill, commemorating Lakewood residents who served in World War II.
The cost of the project is estimated at $5,600. Those interested in donating to this project should contact Lange at 488-1435 or Lakewood Village Historian Anthony Barone at 763-9357.
J. David Lange, center, second Vice Commander of the Lakewood American Legion, is presented with a $500 check by Jack Osborne and Susan Fiedler of the Lakewood Rotary.
