Doris Marie Raymond Willink, 89, of Clymer, N.Y., passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Corry Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 17, 1923, in Columbus, Pa., to Hoyt and Lottie Munger Raymond.
Doris graduated from Clymer Central School, and later worked at Corry Jamestown. On April 10, 1945, she married Raymond L. Willink, and spent her life lovingly supporting his work on the family dairy farm. A devoted servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, she was a member of the Edwards Chapel United Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, church council member and conference delegate.
She is survived by four children: Shirley (Dean) Wilson of Erie, Pa., Charlene (Bruce) Kidder of Jamestown, N.Y., Norvel (Judy) Willink of Clymer, N.Y., and Connie (Scott) Aikens of Clymer, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren: Tara (Shawn) Cotter, Jill (Ryan) Smith, Erin (Joel) Worden, Janae (Eric) Ryan, Nathan (Leanna) Willink, Garret (Amanda) Willink, Addie (Andrew) Silbert, Kurt Aikens, Taylor Aikens, Sarah Aikens; and 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gilbert and Patricia Willink; a dear family friend, Wilbur Meerdink; and several nieces and nephews.
During the last two years of her life, her home caregivers became like family to her and she loved them dearly.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers; her husband, Raymond; and by a granddaughter, Andrea Willink.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, at the Spitzer Funeral Home in Clymer, N.Y.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2013, at the Edwards Chapel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Timothy Phelps, officiating. Burial will be at the Holland Cemetery.
