Kyla Prindle-Cassidy, right, displays one of the two bronze medals she won at the 41st annual Am-Can International Judo Tournament in Grand Island over Memorial Day weekend. A junior at Maple Grove High School, Prindle-Cassidy competed in the 17-19 Youth Women's Brown Belt division where she took third place. The following day, she took third-place honors again in the Senior Women's Open (Black Belt and Brown Belt) division. Prindle-Cassidy trains with the SHIN GI TAI Judo Club at the Jamestown Community College Total Fitness Center and is a newly certified United States Judo Association assistant coach. The Am-Can tournament is one of the oldest and largest Judo competitions in North America and hosts hundreds of competitors from the United States, Canada and several European counties.
