PANAMA - Hillary Nelson had a big day at the bat for Westfield in Division 3 girls softball on Thursday afternoon.
Nelson drove in four runs with three hits as the Lady Wolverines prevailed over Panama (1-10, 3-10), 11-7.
Nelson socked a two-run home run over the left field fence to key a three-run fifth to give Westfield a 7-0 lead. She also delivered two singles for two more runs.

Sarah Burgoon stroked two hits, Emily Polette had an RBI double and Rachel Allen had an RBI single for Westfield.
Panama scored all its runs with three runs in the sixth and four more runs in the seventh.
Until the sixth inning, Laura Tofil of Westfield had a shutout but wound up with a five-hitter, six walks and five strikeouts.
Kirsten Green unloaded a three-run homer over the left field wall, Sarah Osborne had a two-run double and Brittany Lenart an RBI double for the hosts.
