ELLICOTTVILLE - Ellicottville seemed poised to pick up its second win of the season, but Sherman had other ideas as the Wildcats roared back in the final inning to pull out a 10-6 win in Division 4 baseball.
The Eagles were up 4-2 going into the seventh inning, but the Wildcats exploded for seven of their 10 hits and scored six runs to pull ahead while Ellicottville committed four errors.
For Sherman, Ryan Robson picked up the victory, striking out 11 with six walks while giving up four hits and he helped his own cause with two hits and two RBIs. Jeremy Cole also had a double and a single,
Phalla Musall had two hits for Ellicottville.
CLYMER RALLIES TO WIN
CLYMER - The never-say-die Clymer Pirates (9-2, 8-3) rallied for three runs in the seventh inning for a tie and then scored twice in the eighth inning to win an 8-7 decision over Brocton (8-3).
Clymer was trailing Brocton, 6-3, when Matt DeStevens singled in two runs in the seventh and on the play an overthrow allowed the tying run to score.
In the top of the eighth, Brocton went ahead, 7-6, when Dan Ferguson's squeeze bunt scored Dalton Remington, who reached on a bunt single.
Back came Clymer as Evan Woods walked, Mitch Einink singled and Jake Wiggers walked to fill the bases. Dan Lictus delivered the tying run with a sacrifice fly and Austin Cramer's fielders choice scored the winning run.
DeStevens finished with three hits to lead Clymer and Wiggers and Lictus doubled. Jordan Patterson and Wade Austin split four hits and each drove in a run for Brocton.
