Celoron Seniors To Meet For Lunch
Celoron-West Ellicott Seniors will meet for a tureen lunch at noon on Wednesday in the Herman Kent Post American Legion. Members should take their table service and a dish to pass. Chuck and Dee Ellis, Dick and Ruby Gustafson, June Federko and Bev Lindstrom are the committee. Nola Riley, president, welcomed 43 seniors to a recent meeting and also led the flag salute. Don Christopherson led in prayer before dinner. Reports by the secretary and treasurer were approved as read. Laura Wimans and Nancy Wymer will serve as the audit committee. Birthdays included Lucy Arone, Ms. Lindstrom, Marlene Carlson and Bev Linamen. Anniversaries were celebrated by Chuck and Dee Ellis, and June and John Federko. Jeanne Sampson and Barb Olander introduced Michele Muirhead, of Hire the Help referral agency, who spoke on services to help make life easier. Group pictures were taken before the meeting closed with song.
Annual Salad Lunch To Be Held

Free Movie To Be Shown Wednesday
FREWSBURG - Myers Memorial Library will hold its free monthly movie event, sponsored by the Frewsburg Pharmacy at 3 p.m. and also at 6 p.m. on Wednesday in the community room. The featured movie is ''The Miracle Worker'' and is about Annie Sullivan and Helen Keller.
Rummage Sale To Begin Thursday
Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church, corner of South Main and Cole, Jamestown, will host its annual rummage sale from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday; and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Healing Rooms To Close Thursday
Chautauqua Healing Rooms will be closed on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. It will reopen on Thursday, May 23, at 1006 W. Third St., Healing Word Ministries from 7-9 p.m. Everyone is welcome for prayer.
Steak Dinner To Be Held Saturday
The Memorial Library of Little Valley is again holding a steak dinner at the VFW in Little Valley on Saturday from 5-8 p.m. The meal will consist of a Delmonico steak, baked potato, green beans, salad, rolls, beverage and dessert. Tickets are available by presale or by reservations. They may be purchased at the library during regular hours. Reservations may be made by calling the library at 938-6301 or Linda McCubbin at 938-9430. The tickets will then be available at the dinner. The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children age 12 and under. Both a Chinese auction and a 50/50 will be held. Donations for the auction may be brought to the library by Thursday. The library is open Monday and Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.; Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to noon. It is closed Wednesday and Sunday.
60th Anniversary Celebration Set
PANAMA - A 60th anniversary celebration will be held for Mary and Bob Davis at Our Lady of Snows at 36 E. Main St., Panama, on Saturday from 3-5 p.m. Mary Hurley and Robert Davis, of Lakewood, were the first couple married in Our Lady of Snows Parish on May 2, 1953. They would enjoy seeing family and friends Saturday. No gifts, please.

JCC?To Host 'College 101'
High school juniors and their parents are encouraged to attend College 101, an event sponsored by the Chautauqua County Counselors Association and Jamestown Community College on Wednesday. The program, which will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. in the Carnahan Center, begins with a session that encourages parents and students to work together in finding the "right fit" when exploring college options. Other sessions include "Exploring Career Directions" for parents and students, "How Can We Afford College?" for parents and "Survivor: College Edition" for students. Student and parent panel discussions are also scheduled.
AARP?To Gather For Luncheon

Land Bank Corp. Meets Wednesday
The Chautauqua County Department of Planning and Economic Development will hold an official meeting of the Chautauqua County Land Bank Corporation on Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the CCIDA Board Room, 200 Harrison St., Jamestown. This general meeting of the CCLBC is being conducted to discuss business associated with property acquisition and disposition, insurance issues, taxes, finances, and other official business as required (agenda will be provided at the meeting). Carroll Seniors To Meet Monday
The Carroll Senior Citizens will meet at 12:30 p.m. Monday, May 20, at the Frewsburg American Legion for a soup-and-sandwich luncheon. The luncheon will be followed by the regular meeting and installation of officers for the coming year.
