SILVER CREEK - Frewsburg (13-2, 11-0) won its 13th straight game and remained undefeated in Division 2 softball with an 8-0 win over Silver Creek (1-10) on Monday.
The Bears scored four runs in third inning and three in fifth to wrap up the victory.
Shawna Raymond had three singles for Frewsburg while Emily Hair and Sam Mott had doubles.
Mott was the winning pitcher with 10 strikeouts and she allowed two hits and three walks.
SINCLAIRVILLE -Once again, Sara Crandall was in complete control for seven innings as she threw a one-hitter in leading Cattaraugus-Little Valley (6-3, 8-6) to a 5-0 shutout over host Cassadaga Valley (7-4, 9-7).
Crandall struck out 11 while walking one with the only hit coming in the fourth when Christy Zink tripled for the Lady Cougars.
The Lady Timberwolves held a slim 2-0 lead heading to the seventh inning, thanks to a strong mound performance by Cassadaga Valley's Courtney Vahl, who gave up three hits with a walk and struck out four through six innings.
But Cattaraugus-Little Valley wasn't finished, bringing home three more runs to cap off the victory in the seventh, highlighted by a big home run by Crandall.
Also for the winners, Kaitlyn Nex had three hits, including a triple and two RBIs and Crandall also singled and had three RBIs.
