Deputies said Burdic failed to reduce speed at the crest of the hill and was charged. Burdic and a passenger, Nora Jo Rogers, no age or address given, were transported to WCA Hospital by Ellington and Kennedy ambulances.
Deputies would not state the severity of the injuries, but firefighters on scene said they were not life-threatening.
Burdic was issued a traffic ticket and will appear in court at a later date.
