Black Dress Event Raises Cancer Funds

May 2, 2013
The Post-Journal

The models for the "Every Little Black Dress Deserves a Pink Ribbon" Gala Event gather before their walk on the red carpet at the Jamestown Gateway Station. Each model is a breast cancer survivor and was willing and pleased to add their support to the event. Proceeds supported the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, allowing the team of walkers to raise more than $11,000 for breast cancer research. The walk takes place the first weekend in May, and the team of walkers, Irene and Bob Terreberry, and Cathy and Matt Smith, along with several walkers from West Virginia, including Jennie and Dave Cox, Terreberry's daughter, will be able to take a total of more than $30,000 to give to the Avon Foundation.
