The Jamestown Community College Jayhawks (16-22, 15-12) lost the first game,12-7, and were tied with the Alfred State College Pioneers, 9-9, in the top of the seventh inning of the second game when play was suspended in an NJCAA Region 3 Division III baseball doubleheader against Alfred State College on Sunday at Diethrick Park.
In the first game, JCC's Connor Borowski had an RBI triple and an RBI single. Josh Allan picked up two singles and a two-run double while Chris VanNote had a double
Losing pitcher Matt Fowler pitched the first 3 innings. Joelvy DeLaCruz pitched innings, Nekyle Taylor faced three batters and Jose Hernandez finished.

In the second game, Elio Gonzalez had a double and a single, Borowski had two singles and a two-run home run and Greg Marco recorded three singles.
Ryan Songer started and went 3innings and then Dylan Caldwell worked 2 innings. VanNote was pitching in the seventh when play was suspended because of wet grounds.
When play was stopped, the Pioneers had a runner reach second on an error with none out.
The game is scheduled to be finished on May 9 if it has a bearing on the postseason.
The Jayhawks play again on Saturday at Diethrick Park at 1 p.m. in a doubleheader against Corning CC.
