The Big Fish Triathlon will be held June 8 at Camp Onyahsa on the shores of Chautauqua Lake in Dewittville. The event is Olympic distance, featuring a .93-mile swim, a 24.8-mile bike and a 6.2-mile run.

Registration is on-line only until June 1 and can be accomplished at www.bigfishtriathlon.com. The early discounted entry ends May 1. There will be no race-day registrations.
All athletes, including all members of a relay team), must show identification and a USA Triathlon membership card (or pay the USAT one-day member fee). These are sanctioning requirements from USAT, which provides the standard in triathlon racing and provides race insurance.
Early registration fee (by May 1) is $60 for individuals and $105 for relay teams. After that date, the fees are $76 and $120 respectively. Non-USAT members must pay a $12 one-day insurance fee.
All money made after expenses will directly benefit Camp Onyahsa.
United Refining Company and Univera Healthcare are title sponsors. The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department, the Office of Emergency Services, Water Rescue and the Dewittville Fire Department, in coordination with other area fire departments, have provided direction in regard to triathlon safety.
