SINCLAIRVILLE - Ashley Carroll had a banner performance in Division 2 girls softball on Wednesday.
Carroll cracked four hits, including a three-run double, and drove in five runs as Cassadaga Valley began the league season with a 21-7 edge over Randolph (0-2).
Coming up with three hits for the winners (3-3) were Jesse Burch, Megan Leffler and Kaitlin Johnson. Leffler and Johnson knocked in three runs and had doubles while teammate Jennifer Holley tripled.
Kaylee Luce drilled three hits with a double and two RBIs and Tyler Henderson added two hits with a run-scoring single for Randolph.
