FORESTVILLE -Trevor Enterline did most of the pitching and the hitting as Ripley opened up the Division 4 baseball season successfully on Monday.
Enterline went six innings, yielding four hits, striking out 10 and walking seven while hitting a two-run inside-the-park home run in a six-run fourth inning as Ripley prevailed over Forestville, 15-3.
Logan Miller drilled three hits with two doubles and Enterline and Vinny Shioleno added two hits in the win. Eleven players had hits for Ripley with Tyler Meredith hitting a double.
Miller pitched a scoreless seventh and fanned two in the victory.
Jake Nosbisch had a double and a single for Forestville, which scored three runs in the first.
