Forestville Chapter 247 Order of the Eastern Star recently hosted Helen Patti, Chautauqua District deputy grand matron, and Quentin Bensink, district grand lecturer, at the Masonic Hall in Forestville. Jackie Olszewski, grand representative of Alberta, Canada, near the grand chapter of New York, was also present.
Officers of the evening were Mary Prue, worthy matron; Greg Heiden, worthy patron; Peg Heiden, associate matron; Larry Stiles, associate patron; Cynthia Stiles, secretary; Kathleen Parker, treasurer; Beth Benchley, conductress; Jackie Olszewski, associate conductress; Donna Johnson, marshal; Frances Dolce, musician; Mildred Jankowski, warder; Lorna Kerr, sentinel; Lance Parker, color bearer; Betty Schroeder, Adah; Dawn Hitcome, Ruth; Martha Woolley, Esther; Lois Bentzoni, Martha; and Donna Johnson, Electa.
The floral ceremony from an original 1897 writing was presented to Kerr.

The deputy and lecturer brought greetings from the grand matron and patron. They encouraged support of the projects as well as attendance at Chautauqua Suites in Mayville in May and at Oriskany in July - reservations for which are to be given soon to Quentin Bensink.
Forestville will host a public spaghetti supper April 27 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the Masonic Hall in Forestville for the building maintenance fund. Call 965-2064 for further info.
