The Mayville First Baptist Church announces a free pancake breakfast will be held on Saturday from 8-10:30 a.m. for all community members and surrounding communities.
A spokesman for the church, Sonja Johnson, who is the mission coordinator and treasurer, said, "We wanted to do something for our community during a time when so many are facing financial hardships. We want people to know we care not only about their spiritual well-being, but want to meet their physical and financial needs where we can. We wanted to give back to our community."
The breakfast will be completely free in the hopes of helping and encouraging as many people as possible.
The church is located at 59 S. Erie St. in Mayville and has been a prominent establishment in the community for almost 200 years.
The church offers Sunday School at 10 a.m. each Sunday, followed by morning worship service at 11 a.m. Youth Group meets Sunday evening at 6 p.m. along with an evening Bible study time at 6 p.m. Prayer meeting is held each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. as well as a Kid's Club for children pre-K through sixth grade.
