Mary Alice Carlos, 80, of 54 Matteson Ave., Fredonia, N.Y., formerly of Jamestown, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday (March 26, 2013), in the Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk, N.Y.
She was born July 6, 1932, in Binghamton, N.Y., a daughter of the late Thaddeus William and Margaret M. Scallon Carlos.
Surviving are a brother William J. (Diane) Carlos of Greenhurst, N.Y.; a nephew, David (Elizabeth) DuBois of Bemus Point, N.Y.; several cousins: Barbara S. Parlato, Margaret Corkery Erickson, Thomas Scallon, Kenneth Scallon and Sally Corkery, who was very supportive over the years with her many acts of kindness.
The family would also like to give thanks and gratitude to the staff of the Matteson Avenue home for their many years of caring and concern for Mary Alice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in Holy Apostles Parish at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Dennis W. Mende, pastor, will be celebrant. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
Visitation will not be observed.
