Sarah A. "Sally" Green, 78, of Falconer passed away Sunday (March 17, 2013) in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her family.
She was born Nov. 12, 1934, in Oneida, N.Y., the daughter of the late John and Anna Sparks Parsons.
Sally attended Cassadaga Valley High School and was a member of the Falconer First Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling, going to the casino and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was also a foster parent for more than 50 years, opening her home to more than 100 children in her lifetime.

Surviving are seven children: Harold Green Jr. of Lakewood, Charles (Glenda) Green of Maple Springs, Linda Green (Jim) Tullbane of Louisville, Ky., Cyndi Green of Falconer, Lisa (Jim) Sirianno of Jamestown, Tammy (Jason) Decker of Jamestown, and Paul Southwick of Savannah, Ga.; 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great- grandchildren; two brothers: Roger Parsons of Colorado and Richard Parsons of Texas; and a sister, Edna Catanese of Sinclairville.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold P. Green Sr., whom she married Feb. 15, 1953, who died Jan. 31, 2000; a grandson, Bobby Tullbane; five brothers: Frank Parsons Sr., Joe Parsons, John Parsons Jr., Ralph Parsons, and George Parsons; and two sisters: Hazel Derry and Mary Wojtowicz.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Lewis, pastor of Falconer First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received by the family from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the funeral service Wednesday in the funeral home.
