Thomas B. Tefft, 67, of Indianapolis, Ind., died Friday, March 15. Tom is remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Any and all who knew him will recall his big, generous heart and unforgettable sense of humor.
Tom was born April 11, 1945, in Jamestown, N.Y., to Howard and Marjorie (Newton) Tefft. From as early as he was able he was working in his father's glass shop, Tefft Glass of Dunkirk, N.Y., and at age 16 upon his father's death took over the business. In 1968 he married Laura Craw in Gerry, N.Y. They have a daughter, Lynn Tefft Hoff, of Aurora, Ill., and son, Wade Tefft, of Brighton, Colo.
Looking for a change of scenery after Lynn and Wade were grown, Tom and Laura relocated to Indianapolis in 1996. More than anything in the world Tom enjoyed being with his family, whether it was getting down on the ground to play with his grandchildren, traveling in his son's plane, sitting through cold Buffalo Bills games with his daughter or just kicking back and relaxing with the family and friends whom he and Laura loved to entertain in their home.
