Richard and Rita Brown of Lakewood, N.Y. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico. They are the parents of Randy (Kara) Brown of Wakefield, Mass., and Rebecca (Ken) Sherman of Suffolk, Va. They also have five grandchildren who also attended: Sophie, Robert, Henry and Michael Brown and Molly Sherman.
Brown and the former Rita Angilella were married Feb. 23, 1963, in Ss.Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. Kenneth F. Mullen performed the ceremony.
Brown is a retired physical education teacher and coach from Southwestern Central School. Mrs. Brown is a retired reading teacher from Fletcher Elementary School in Jamestown.
