OCKLAWAHA, Fla. - Kenneth D. Peterson, 95, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013.
Mr. Peterson was born and lived in Jamestown, N.Y., where he was a member of the Stockton Volunteer Fire Department, owned Fredonia Glass Ser-vice and farmed with his two sons. He then moved to Orlando where he was part owner of B&H Volkswagen. He and his wife then moved to the Ocala National Forest where he enjoyed wood-working, off-road vehicles, and of course, NASCAR.
He was preceded in death by his son, Butch Peterson; parents, Wayne and Lillian Peterson; and brother, Bernard Peterson.
He is survived by his loving wife of more than 75 years, Maxine Hitchiner Peterson; son, Bill (Lynne) Peterson, Bemus Point, N.Y.; daughter, Sharon Lee, Ocklawaha, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Mary Peterson, Eustis, Fla.; former son-in-law, Chuck Privateer; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be private.
