President Lincoln believed in the God of the Bible, and did not hesitate to speak about our nation's accountability to Him or to analyze our problems from a proper, spiritual perspective.
A great example of this is Lincoln's Second Inaugural Address, given on March 4, 1865. I encourage readers to look it up and become familiar with it. Frederick Douglass told the president afterward, "That was a sacred effort."
America's only hope today is to return to God, goodness, and moral sanity.
