YMCA Schedules Spring Break Activities

LAKEWOOD - The Lakewood Family YMCA will offer nine days of activities for children over spring break.

Trips and activities include:

MARCH

Monday, March 25 - Game Show Day, including "Minute It To Win It" and "Jeopardy."

Tuesday, March 26 - The group will travel to the Russell Roller Rink for some blacklight skating before traveling to the Jamestown YMCA for a dip in the pool.

Wednesday, March 27 - The group will take a bus trip to Buffalo for an afternoon at Bounce Magic. There are more than a dozen bounce houses for all ages, arcade games and prizes.

Thursday, March 28 - The camp will be a full day of laser tag at Lasertron in Buffalo. The park also includes go-karts.

APRIL

Monday, April 1 - Children will get ready for spring with a luau. Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed and best hula dancer.

Tuesday, April 2 - Children will spend the day at the Erie Zoo and then travel to the East Side YMCA to swim.

Wednesday, April 3 - The group will take a trip to Splash Lagoon in Erie for a day of swimming, slides, pizza, arcade games and prizes.

Thursday, April 4 - The camp will take its annual trip to Chuck E. Cheese's.

Friday, April 5 - The final day of camp is the annual spring carnival day with games, popcorn, face painting, balloon animals, the Big Challenge, bounce house and other activities.

Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Spaces are limited. Camp is open to all children between the ages of 4 and 13. Camp hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with early drop-off at 7:30 a.m. and late pick-up at 5:30 p.m. for no extra charge.
