SOUTH DAYTON - The South Dayton Firemen's Activity Hall, 34 Maple St., South Dayton, will be the site for the annual Daffodil Festival on Saturday, March 23, between the 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The day will begin with registration for the dessert contest from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Desserts must contain at least one of the following ingredients: orange, banana, lemon, pineapple, maple syrup or chocolate. The desserts must be in a non-returnable container, and be accompanied by a copy of the recipe. The competition is open to adults, and children 16 years and under. Judging will take place at 10 a.m.
The Easter egg hunt will take place in the Village Park at 10 a.m. for toddlers to children in sixth grade. The Easter Bunny will make his appearance in the Firemen's Activity Hall between 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Local crafters and artisans will have their wares available for sale at the craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For those hungry from the morning's festivities, there will be chicken and biscuits available for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children.
"Tim the Tuneman," also known as Tim Stockman, will provide music from 1-3 p.m.
