Walter C. and Eleanor R. Curry of Jamestown, N.Y. celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on March 6, 2013. They are the parents of Diana and Jim Lowery of Souderton, Pa., Barbara and Jim Poppleton of Mills River, N.C., and Carolyn Curry of Jamestown, N.Y. They also have three granddaughters, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Curry and the former Eleanor R. Hunter were married March 6, 1943, in Zion Lutheran Church, Niagara Falls, N.Y.
Curry had been employed by Jacobson Dairy and Jamestown Laminating. They are both 62-year members of Bethel Baptist Church where Curry has served as a deacon and trustee.
