Mary Patricia Falletta DeMayo lived the first half of her life in Jamestown, N.Y., and operated Luxor Beauty Salon on Second Street, along with her sister, Angeline Falletta, which was next door to the barber shop operated by her brothers: Thomas and Raymond Falletta.
She lived a large portion of her life in Fort Myers, Fla., on Osceola Drive. She was a beautician with Lillian's Beauty Salon and cherished her caring clients and co-workers. She also devoted many hours to Lee Memorial Auxiliary.
Her family came first and many of her good efforts went to them. She valued her neighbors and friends, and those relationships gave her much gladness and peace.
She passed away to her Father and God and His son Jesus Christ, on Friday, March 1, 2013, in Wilmington, N.C., where she resided with her son Timothy DeMayo.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Cosmo Raymond DeMayo; father, Carlo Falletta; mother, Angelina Alimo Falletta; and especially her loving daughter, Priscilla DeMayo Vibbert; brothers: Thomas Falletta and Raymond Falletta and dear wife, Eva; sisters: Josephine Falletta, Carmella Falletta Carmen, Cary Falletta Lumia and Angeline Falletta; great-grandson, Jacob Cosmo DeMayo; a very special nephew, Anthony (Skip) Lumia and his wife, Genevieve; and also a very special sister-in-law, Della Brunacini DeMaio.
Surviving in her life are her cherished daughter, El-vira (Tink) Billett and husband, David L. Billett; son, Timothy David DeMayo; grandchildren: Mary Billett Walter, David Billett Jr., Christopher Billett and wife, Lyn, Robin Vibbert Sanderson, Melissa Vibbert Amerson and husband, Daryl, Sarah DeMayo Mattern and husband, Christopher and Matthew John DeMayo. Also, great- grandchildren: Megan Iwanowski, Charles Parker, David L. Billett III, Deana Billett, Drew Billett, Serena Billett, Brittany Sanderson, Baylee Sanderson, Emma Grace Amerson, Madison Faith Amerson and Ella Jane DeMayo; also a special niece, Karen Lumia of Erie, Pa.
A viewing will be Friday, March 8, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, Fort Myers, Fla., followed by a Funeral Mass at 2:30 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Francis Xavier School in Fort Myers, Fla., in the name of Cosmo and Mary DeMayo.
