On Saturday, Southwestern/Maple Grove finished out the Western New York High School State Club Tournament at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena with a wild 7-6 loss to East Williston/Jerrico.
EWJ was the No. 1-ranked team in the state before its lost to Canisius in the large school title game on Sunday.
Nate Stephens scored the opening goal from Tyler Bell for SW/MG on Saturday.

Alex Carlson scored the second goal on the power play from Andy Farnham and Thomas Gerace.
Carlson scored the third goal unassisted.
Trailing 6-3 with 7:05 left in the third period, SW/MG made a comeback.
Tyler Chase scored from Stephens and Farnham to cut the lead to 6-4. Then with 1:26 left and the goalie pulled, Carlson scored on a slapshot from the point, assisted by Farnham and Gerace, to make the score 6-5.
Then with only 43 seconds remaining and the netminder on the bench again, Chase tapped in a rebound to tie the game at 6-6 with assists by Gerace and Carlson.
EWJ went on to score with 20 seconds remaining to win the game.
Ben Richard and Noah Weinstein combined in net for SW/MG.
It wrapped up a successful season for SW/MG and career for head coach John Sitzenstatter, who officially retired after the game Saturday.
