Norman C. Houben, 74, of Youngsville, passed away Thursday night Feb. 28, 2013, at the Rouse Warren County Home.
He was born Feb. 7, 1939, in Silver Creek, N.Y., a son of the late Albert and Agnes Nichols Houben.
Norman was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He retired from Blackstone Valeo in Jamestown, where he worked as a tool and die maker. Norman enjoyed hunting, had served as a Boy Scout leader for a number of years, and enjoyed racing snowmobiles for a period of time.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Morrison Houben, whom he married Oct. 4, 1969, in South Dayton, N.Y.; a son, Leslie Houben and a daughter, Heather Houben, both of Youngsville; a brother, Theodore Houben in Tennessee; and a granddaughter, Amber Houben.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter at birth; and a brother, David Houben.
All services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
