Iris A. Holley-Seeley

GERRY - Iris A. Holley-Seeley, 97, of Heritage Retirement Campus, formerly of Church Street, Gerry, went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 27, 2013 .

She was born Aug. 13, 1915, in Huntington, W. Va., the daughter of the late Friend and Virginia Drown Leap. She was a 1935 graduate of Huntington High School.

Iris was employed for over 20 years at Gerry Homes as matron and director of personal relations.

She was a member of the Gerry Free Methodist Church for 62 years and had held various offices and specifically children's ministries. She loved to spend her summers at her cottage on Lake Ontario at Lighthouse Christian Camp.

Wife of the late Rev. Oran L. Holley, whom she married Dec. 21, 1938, and who died Oct. 15, 1962, and the late Rev. Lawrence E. Seeley, whom she married Jan 13, 1967, and died November 1975; mother of David (Mariann) Holley of Orangeburg, S.C., Richard (Linda) Holley of Gerry, and the late Paul Holley (Oct. 18, 1964); stepmother of Robert L. (Linda) Seeley of Gaithersburg, Md.; grandmother of Dr. Paul (Michelle) Holley of Gerry and Tracy (Rebecca) Holley of Webster; stepgrandmother of Debbie Tomosovich, Butler, Pa., Robert Seeley Jr., Phoenix, Ariz., Jon Seeley, Urbana, Md., Melanie Larson, Frederick, Md., Eric Seeley, New Market, Md., Kate Seeley, Gaithersburg, Md., and Shannon Barksdale, Lyn-chburg, Va.: great-grandmother of Erin, Jennifer and Heather Holley of Sinclairville, and Anna and Eli Holley of Webster; stepgreat-grandmother of 14; stepgreat-great-grandmother of four; sister of Kathryn Hutson of Nashville, Tenn., and the late Alma Morrison, Natella Deaver, Pauline Carroll, Myrtle Brammer, Foster, Ivan, Harmon and Paul Leap.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Gerry Free Methodist Church, 4500 Church St., Gerry. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Burial in Gerry Cemetery.
