Two Jamestown residents were charged Monday on drug possession charges following a lengthy investigation by several police agencies.

Police charged Luis A. DeJesus-Colon, 28, and Neftali Cintron, 49, with felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. They were taken to the Jamestown City Jail and were awaiting arraignment.

Members of the Jamestown Police Department, State Police and Department of Homeland Security executed a search warrant at 2:30 p.m. Monday at 31 Barrett Ave. Investigators believed heroin was being sold out of the residence, Capt. Robert Samuelson said in a news release.

"Heroin use is huge everywhere, and it's being sold all over. It's in Jamestown, Buffalo and in Pennsylvania," Samuelson said. "It's in all the major cities."
